Tax Credit Support
Justisfication for high performance building is simple but its even easier when there are incentives! Currently, your residential project must use no more than 50% of the energy used by a home built to 2004 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) standards to recieve a Federal Tax Credit. Go Green, NM uses only the most current software approved by the IRS to determine if a home will qualify for a tax credit. We can help you meet these requirements. Click here for more information.
Design Support
Go Green, NM can help you, your architect or designer design energy efficient or green improvements into your design projects that are cost effective. It is equally important that your mechanical systems are properly designed and sized for your project in order them to perform efficiently. Our Engineers at Go Green, NM can support you or your mechanical contractor with ACCA Manual J & Manual D calculations and designs.
Green Verification
Go Green, NM LLC is an NAHB and LEED accreditted Green Verifier performing third party verification of your green project. Build Green NM has adopted the NAHB model for green verification and energy performance. We can provide you with both!
As accredited Green Verifiers we are expected to independently confirm, through a process of document review and on-site inspections, that all green program requirements and points specified by a builder are in place for a candidate home.
Habitat for Humanity
| Under the partnership with RESNET, Go Green, NM LLC provides pro-bono rating services to a Habitat affiliates in Northern and Central NM. Enhanced energy efficient homes make Habitat homes more affordable to live in. We recognize the importance and benefits of living in an energy efficient home for those who partner in especially in today's economy. Choosing an Energy Rater
Home Energy Raters are the independent third party that is certified by RESNET to inspect and provide HERS Ratings and performance testing for LEED for Homes, Build Green NM, Energy Star and federal and state tax credits. Raters who issue compliance with federal tax credits are required be insured. Practical knowledge of residential construction methods and products and residential mechanical systems is essential to providing you with accurate and cost effective solutions that do not impact your bottom line and schedule.
